If you have any questions regarding the program, have problems with purchasing it, haven't received your keycodes, lost your once purchased serial number, want to suggest new features, improvements, share your thoughts about easyHDR PRO or want to report about a bug, please write to me email address. Please write in English or Polish. I can also understand German, but will reply in English (or Polish).

I always reply to all e-mails and I try to do it in 1-3 days. If I am away from home (i.e. on holidays) then I should at least notify that I will reply later. If you sent me an e-mail and never received a reply then probably either your e-mail, or mine was blocked somewhere or assigned as spam. In such a case I'd be thankful if you tried to contact me again. Please remember that a plain-text e-mail, with a title and without any attachements is the most probable to be delivered successfully.

You may possibly find answers to some of your questions in the FAQ section below.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How to buy a license for easyHDR PRO?

First of all you can download, install and try the latest trial version of the program. The most recent version is always available on this website. If you decide to register easyHDR PRO just go to the "Purchase" page and click on the "Buy easyHDR PRO ..." button. You may buy a HOME or COMMERCIAL license for the program. The license is sold via Share*It shop, which is available in many languages. You can find out more about it in the Share*It Customer Care Center.

2. How to get the full version of the program?

Once you get your purchased license data in an e-mail from ShareIt, you can fill in the registration form that can be found in the lower-right corner of the easyHDR PRO main window. Then click "Save" and restart the program. It will now start as a registered version and no watermarks will show up on the output photographs. Please make sure that the e-mail, serial number and the key are entered correctly.

3. What's the difference between "easyHDR PRO" and "easyHDR BASIC"?

In the beginning there was one easyHDR program being developed. At some point I decided to make a branch and released easyHDR BASIC. The BASIC version is freeware, but it is no longer developed and has very limited functionality. The second branch is easyHDR PRO software, which is still being developed and supported. The PRO version is the product that is offered on this website for purchase. All the sample photos and documentation refer to the PRO version.

4. How long does the order payment processing take?

It depends on the payment method. If the order is paid by credit card or PayPal the order should be processed instantly or sometimes it may take an hour or so. If the payment is done via wire transfer or cash, then the license data is sent to the customer after the full payment arrives ShareIt. The wire transfer can take from 1 to 4 working days - it depends on the country from where it is done (international or local wire). It depends also on the time of the day when the transfer was done.

5. I have purchased a license, how do I get the full product?

The program is available as on-line download only (or could be also in example distributed on CDs attached to computer magazines). The trial version of easyHDR PRO, that can be downloaded from this website, becomes a full version when it is unlocked with the purchased serial number and the key.

6. How do I update to the new version?

Just download the new version of easyHDR PRO and install it over the previous one. Uninstallation of the previous version is not necessary. Please remember not to have easyHDR running while the new version is installed over. The update process does not clear the program settings. Note that this is not the case with updating from version 1.xx to 2.xx.

7. I have purchased a license for one of the previous versions of easyHDR PRO 1. Do I have to buy another one for any new release?

You can update to the latest version of easyHDR PRO 1.xx for free (version 1.70.4 is the last one), however if you want to use version 2.xx you'll have to purchase a new license. The once purchased license for easyHDR PRO 2 will work with any 2.xx version. The version 2.xx is being under further development. This means that new features will be added with the upcoming updates.

8. How big photos can be processed with the program?

EasyHDR is a 32-bit application so it has a limit of 2GB of memory that can be allocated. The HDR image processing algorithms require a couple of buffers that store the input, output and intermediate image data. To provide the best quality, the buffers have to hold high bit-depth of pixel data. Because all of this, the memory usage is very high as compared to normal image editing software. In order to process very big photos you can try to do the following: enable /3GB switch in Windows, which extends the user-space available memory from 2GB to 3GB; use easyHDR while other applications that could consume big amounts of memory are turned off; enable special mode in easyHDR - "Memory usage reduction". More details are available in this article. Please note that the amount of memory needed by the program depends on the physical size of the photo (in pixels), not on the amount of bytes the photo takes on hard drive! A JPEG that takes just 20MB on hard drive can be a really huge photo.

9. The program crashes while loading very big photos.

EasyHDR cannot allocate an unlimited amount of memory - see previous question. The crash is caused by the operating system. It allows the running programs to allocate more memory than actually is available. Everything fails when the program tries to use the non-existing memory. Operating systems do it this way, because otherwise the system performance would be affected. The disadvantage of this solution is however that the application can crash.

10. RAW images from my camera cannot be imported by easyHDR or they look very strange (i.e. the colors are completely wrong).

EasyHDR uses DCRAW to decode RAW images. It might happen that there appears a new version of DCRAW that supports photos from your camera, but easyHDR still comes with an older version, which is unable to decode your photos correctly. In such a case please write to me about this problem. You can also try to download a newer version of DCRAW from the Internet. Search for "dcraw.exe". The file shall be saved to the folder where easyHDR is installed, overwriting the existing one.

11. Will there be a version for Mac or Linux?

Unfortunately no. I can compile my code only for Windows. However you can try to run the program with an emulator (for Mac: see a list of emulators, for Linux: WINE emulator). The program has been successfully tested running on WINE in OpenSUSE 11.
